Please Consider GCHIC When Making Your End-of-Year Donations

Greater Capitol Heights Improvement Corporation (“GCHIC”) has been quite busy in 2023, working to stimulate revitalization, redevelopment, and reinvestment in central Prince George’s County’s inner-Beltway communities. Over the past 12 months, we have:

  • Completed our first formal strategic planning process

  • Hired our first part-time staffer

  • Received a generous community partnership grant from County Executive Angela Alsobrooks to support our innovative work in the county

  • Received funding from LISC to collaborate with another local nonprofit to develop an innovative 7-week community leadership institute that will debut in early 2024

  • Authored a comprehensive issue brief describing how the county could turn a contentious issue regarding the proposed placement of a new facility for men experiencing homelessness into a win-win for the county’s unhoused residents and for economic development around Addison Road Metro

We want to continue fulfilling our ambitious mission in 2024 and beyond—but to do that, we need your help! In addition to supplying us with necessary financial capital, your tax-deductible charitable contribution to GCHIC also is a tangible way to demonstrate your support for a more livable, walkable, and prosperous Greater Capitol Heights.

Thanks in advance for your generosity, and Happy Holidays to You!
